2022 POW/MIA Luncheon

Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, Pensacola Chapter and Pensacola Navy League co-hosted the 23rd ANNUAL POW/MIA Luncheon, Tuesday September 13th with the Pensacola Navy League.
Master of Ceremonies, Captain J. Michael Denkler, USN (Ret.), welcomed everyone including our local POW’s. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by POW, Captain Fred “Bill” Franke, Jr., USN (Ret.). Chorister, Bonnie Buck, led the group in “God Bless America.”
CDR Mark Schmitt, USN (Ret.) shared the Table of Remembrance, followed by “Tapps”

The guest speaker was Hill Goodspeed, Historian at the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola. Hill shared stories of POW’s that touched his heart.
