Chapter History

The Pensacola Chapter of Freedoms Foundation was organized in 1983 by founding members Evelyn Hall, Ann Jones, J. Terryl “T.Bubba” Bechtol, Jan Whaley, Trib Mason, Ella MacLaren, Jean Girdner, Marge Hargrave, Gladys Peterson, Beth Costner, Nell Quina, Bess Hagler, and Virginia Christian.

It was the third chapter to be organized in the state of Florida and the 44th in our country. Our chapter is an active organization, which promotes patriotism and educational endeavors in our community.

As a 501(c)(3), nonprofit we have a tax-exempt status, allowing us to accept tax-deductible donations, access to grant money, and income and property tax exemptions.
