2022 George Washington Medal Awards Dinner
October 11, 2022
Each year, citizens who have shown exceptional service to our community are nominated for recognition by the National Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge.
This year, nine of our nominees received the coveted George Washington Honor Medal at our awards banquet.
Chapter President Betty Williams welcomed all the honorees and their families and friends.
The Colors were presented by the Escambia High School JROTC, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by CRD Mark Schmitt, USN (Ret.) and our National Anthem sung by Bonnie Buck.
Master of Ceremonies, Dr. Anita Schmitt, recognized each recipient and shared an explanation of each recipients valiant work.
